Who this covers

This policy describes how RentRoll, operated by Talon Automation (d/b/a Talon AI) (https://talonai.ai), handles personal information. The public site is https://rentrollcpa.com. https://www.rentrollcpa.com is the same site. Contact [email protected] with privacy questions or deletion requests.

What we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and a password hash (we do not store the password itself).

Bookkeeping data you enter: properties, units, tenants, transactions, mileage, Material Participation notes, and files you upload.

Session data: a cookie that keeps you signed in.

On our public website pages only, Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits and see which link or page brought you here. It is not used inside the signed-in app.

How we use it

We use this information to provide RentRoll, keep your books separate from other landlords, and protect the service. We do not sell your personal data.

Service providers

We share account and bookkeeping data with trusted service providers only as needed to operate RentRoll: hosting, database and file storage, and payments. They may process that data only to provide their service to us. We do not sell your personal data.

Hosting is Vercel. The database and uploaded files are Supabase. Payments are Stripe.

We may disclose information if required by law.

Cookies and sessions

RentRoll uses a session cookie so you stay signed in. It is required for the app to work. We do not use it to sell data or to follow you around the web.

Public website pages also use Google Analytics cookies, described below. Those cookies are not set inside the signed-in app.

Public website analytics

We use Google Analytics on our public website pages only to count visits and see which link or page brought you here. It uses cookies. It is not used inside the signed-in app. If your browser asks not to be tracked, we load nothing. We never sell this information. No landlord financial data, bank info, or tenant data is ever sent to Google.

To opt out, turn on Do Not Track in your browser, or use Google's opt-out add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How long we keep it

We keep account and bookkeeping data while your account is open. Email [email protected] to ask us to delete your account and the personal data tied to it. We may keep a minimal record if the law requires it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including hashed passwords and access controls, to protect your property and financial data. No online service can promise perfect security.

Not advice

RentRoll is bookkeeping software. It is not tax, legal, or accounting advice.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product changes, including while RentRoll is in beta. The date at the top will change when we do.
